Day 7 - lost $43k pot as 67% fav

Back to square 1 now. A week of work down the drain thanks to more ridicoulous luck. Actually i'm £560+rakeback up because i cashed out my change to start fresh tommorow. I'm $50k below ev this week!

I should have known today would suck with this hand straight away:

$25/50 6 max with $5000 stacks, i raise KQ on button to 150, SB calls, BB folds

Flop 6 9 Q

I bet 200, villain makes it 650, i make it 1650, he shoves QJ

Turn J

River 4

His shove is pretty spewy but my 85% edge is no match for him.

Then later on a huge fish sits at 50/100 and 100/200 6 max. Waiting lists jump to about 10 people+ long after a few mins and i have a seat. Fitting that my $43k pot loss should come with aces.

$100/200 6 max

villain (fish) raises to 600, button flats, i make it 2600 from SB, BB folds, both call.

Flop is terrible for me J109 rainbow. I think about my options and decide im happy getting it all in vs the fish but not the button. I decide to check and see what happens. Fish bets $5400 into $8000 and button folds. I'm happy now so i shove expecting to be ahead most of the time. He snaps with KJo. $43k in pot.

Turn Q.

River J.

Back to the drawing board i guess.

Day 6 - Frustration!

£2k up since yesterday but could have been so much more. I just got rivered for a $10k pot as 73% favourite all in on the turn and a few hands earlier lost a $10k pot with KQ vs AK on Kxx with flushdraw board in a reraised pot. Standard run bad at the end of a promising session. At least i'm still making money though. £10k in 6 days so far, on track to get to £50k in about 15 days at this rate.

Day 5 - $40k swings for £500 profit lol

Today was pretty crazy. Spent most of the day grinding normally at $2/4 to $10/20 without much profit. Then i saw a fish sit at $25/50 6 max so i sat down. Played for a while and got sucked out on a few times so i was about 5k down. Then the fish started going to different heads up tables. i got on the the waiting list for his $50/100 heads up table and to my suprise the reg he was playing left him so i got the seat! About 10 hands in i was $8k down to him. I raised KK to $300, he 3 bet 45o to $1000 i flat called. Flop came 4 7 10. He check raised my $1k bet all in for about 5k more and i called. Turn came a blank and the river a 5 giving him 2 pair. I was pretty tilted but couldn't quit him because i knew i had a good shot at making a big score. He ended up donking it back to me with $20k extra aswell in the next 30mins. The last hand he open shoved $6600 into my JJ with his 108o and i held. He left after that and i was up about $20k for the day. I decided to carry on trying to spin up and 4 tabled a highstakes reg who i don't think is good. I've played him before and he was more passive than most players and didn't put me under much pressure. Last time though he ran hot and this time was no different. I ran into his KK on a 747 board for a stack and then he cracked my QQ with J8o in a reraised pot for another stack a few hands later. I quit for the day down $800 in poker and tilted at how bad i always seem to run at 50/100. I had £22583.54 or something in my account so i did a few spins of roulette to get to a nice round number of £23000. There ends the days degeneracy! Hopefully tommorow i can stick to $2/4 to $10/20 or at least run better if i do play higher!

days 3 and 4

Day 3 i finished up £120 or something so didn't bother updating. Today i've done ok. £2500 extra in last 2 days, not earth shattering but not bad either. So far in the 4 days of my challenge i'm up about £7500. If i can continue at this sort of pace i'll reach my £50k goal in a couple of weeks which would be nice. At the moment im playing $2/4 to $10/20 hu. I've decided that when i reach £30k ill play $3/6 to $25/50 hu. That only gives me 10 buyins in my account for $25/50 but i'm pretty comfortable with it and i'll be stricter with game selection at $25/50.

day 2 of challenge

$5553 in 603 hands, Good day. Bit boring as i waited around for most of the day with no action but when i did get action it worked out well. Most of the day was spent beating my friends on tiger woods on the PS3 lol. Going well so far, hopefully things carry on like this and i can reach the £50k fast.

1st Day of challenge

Today sucked. I was $6k up and should have been about $10k up by the end of it if some moronic donk didn't sit and run like god and wipe out most of my profits. Tilted so quit for the day. Still made £1k though so whatever.

£50k mini challenge

Ok i've hardly played lately. I keep going out every day gambling on horses, casinos and drinking in pubs lol. I want to get back on the grind so i'm setting myself a goal to achieve. I have £15k in my account currently and want to turn it into £50k which means i need to make £35k/$58k. I plan to do this as soon as possible and definately under 2 months. I will play only NL holdem HU $2/4 to $10/20. I plan to update this with graphs and account balances most days but i will probably end up doing it once every few days.
